Rancang Bangun Sistem E-Saran Berbasis Web pada Universitas Graha Karya

Abstract

Effective communication between the academic community and the foundation is a fundamental pillar for enhancing the service quality of educational institutions. However, at Universitas Graha Karya, the process of conveying aspirations is often hindered by inefficient manual procedures. This research aims to design and develop a web-based "E-Saran" information system as an integrated digital solution. The system development was carried out using the PHP programming language with a MySQL database architecture accessed via PHP Data Objects (PDO) to ensure data security. The system implements four user access levels: students, lecturers, administrative staff, and the foundation board. Key features include aspiration submission management by category, a data monitoring dashboard for the foundation, and an authentication security system utilizing password hashing encryption and an emergency password reset function. The test results demonstrate that the E-Saran system successfully provides a transparent and organized platform, significantly accelerating the follow-up process for academic aspirations. The implementation of this system marks a transition toward more modern and responsive campus governance.
